NEWBORNS: Newborns are best photographed within the first ten days of life. It’s never too early to book your newborn session. I do in home posed natural light newborn sessions, followed by lifestyle imaging with mom, dad, and siblings. Sessions last 2-4 hours with plenty of time for feeding baby, calming, etc. Relax! It seems like a long time, but sit back, relax, and watch me work some photography magic!
CHILDREN: If you are looking for a portrait of your child sitting in a chair with a forced smile or a banner behind them, then I am not your girl! My approach to photographing children is a little different. I like to take time to warm up to kids, ask them questions about things they like, songs they sing, etc. This works best if mom is just a little way off admiring from the distance. As a mother of three, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve to make kids laugh in a natural environment. I love photographing kids doing what they love to do. Do your girls love tea parties? Does your son love baseball? I want your child to have fun during the session. We’ll hunt for fairies and look for frogs, all the while I’m ready to capture that adorable smile of pure joy at the possibility of Tinkerbell up in that very tree! SENIORS: Your senior year is such a milestone, so many amazing experiences, and I want your senior portrait session to be one of those things! I like to hike through the woods to find the perfect spot with amazing lighting. I love finding urban spots in all the small towns where I’m originally from. There is no limit to outfits or locations, so bring what you love and don’t forget to accessorize! I’ve rocked senior sessions everywhere from a St. Louis rooftop to a horse pasture in rural Illinois.
